Norma Chu was born and raised in Hong Kong. Prior to DayDayCook, she was the head of equities research at HSBC Private Bank. Ms Chu started DayDayCook in 2012 when she turned her passion for cooking into a business. In 2015, she brought DayDayCook to Shanghai and entered the China market.
Ms Chu designed DayDayCook to satisfy today’s young female millennial who is seeking a better lifestyle; she provides a 360-degree lifestyle experience for her audience. Her company has three major business lines including DDCTV content, e-commerce platform and offline experience centers which form a panoramic, and comprehensive brand ecosystem. DayDayCook now is a large cooking and lifestyle content platform with 80 million active viewers and six experience centres nationwide.
Ms Chu has raised over US$65M in venture funding for DayDayCook from investors including Alibaba Hong Kong Entrepreneur Fund, K11 Investments, Ironfire Capital, and 500startups.
Thanks to her achievements, she was named as one of China’s New Media Top 100 people in 2016 and CY Zone’s 2017 Most Notable Female Entrepreneurs. She was featured on Apple Store’s Cover Story in November 2018.
