Dirk Schraven provides leadership for Gleneagles Hong Kong, a state-of-the-art, multi-specialty tertiary hospital under the Parkway Pantai Group. This includes mapping and leading strategic initiatives to build the hospital clientele and reputation within Hong Kong and in the region for sustainable, long term success.
Mr Schraven has two decades of experience in healthcare strategy and operations. He started his career in management consultancy with Boston Consulting Group where he co-developed healthcare practice in The Netherlands. From 1997 to 2008, he consulted for health insurers and hospitals, providing strategy, analysis, and feasibility studies.
A strong advocate of value-based care as well as outcome transparency, he subsequently joined then ParkwayHealth in Singapore as vice president, strategic planning and business development where he contributed to its growth, pursuing opportunities to develop new hospitals, and strategy development in pricing and B2B partnerships, among others.
Mr Schraven began overseeing ground operations from 2011 to 2016 as the chief operating officer of St Antonius Hospital Group in The Netherlands. Responsible for clinical and non- clinical operations, quality, safety, and operational excellence, he successfully developed new care portfolios, improvement and innovation programmes as well as hospital performance measurement based on care outcome indicators.
Mr Schraven holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Masters in Science (Physics) from Delft University of Technology. He is conversant in five languages: Dutch, English, Spanish, French and German.
